About the committee

The UEFA Summit brings together key stakeholders from European football, including officials from UEFA, national associations, clubs, and leagues, to discuss major issues shaping the sport’s future. This summit acts as a vital platform for dialogue on topics such as competition formats, governance reforms, youth development, financial fair play, and the integration of new technologies. Delegates will engage in meaningful debates aimed at fostering cooperation among European football bodies and upholding the integrity and fairness of the game across all levels. At JBCN Oshiwara MUN 2025, the committee’s discussions will seek to promote sustainable growth and ensure that football remains accessible and competitive for all participants.
This year’s agenda centers on the growing importance of youth development as both a financial and sporting strategy within European football. Faced with the challenges of financial fair play regulations, many clubs are increasingly investing in their academies and homegrown talent. This includes nurturing young players to either strengthen their own squads or generate revenue through transfers. Delegates will critically evaluate whether focusing on youth development is a sustainable, long-term solution for balancing competitiveness with financial responsibility. They must consider the broader impact on league competitiveness, player welfare, and the economic health of clubs and leagues. It will be the responsibility of the committee to assess current practices and propose frameworks that support clubs’ sustainability, encourage talent development, and maintain fair play principles throughout European football.
