About the Committee

The International Press at JBCN Oshiwara MUN 2025 is far more than an observer, it is the voice and eye of the conference. This committee doesn’t represent countries or pass resolutions; instead, it captures the essence of diplomacy through words and images. The Journalism division dives deep into committee debates, controversies, and walkouts, producing everything from op-eds and mock interviews to breaking news updates that reflect the drama and complexity of the conference. Meanwhile, the Photography division freezes fleeting moments, the tension, laughter, and unspoken stories, documenting the MUN visually with instinct and timing. Together, these divisions ensure every facet of the conference is recorded authentically.

The role of the International Press is vital: journalists shape public opinion and hold power accountable, while photographers reveal the mood behind the words. Journalists write with sincerity and insight, while photographers move like shadows, capturing unguarded moments without disruption. Their work does not just report what happened but shows what it felt like to be there. At JBCN Oshiwara MUN, International Press delegates are tasked with telling the story of diplomacy in action, through sharp writing and compelling visuals. It’s a responsibility to bring truth, context, and presence to the world stage.
