UEFA Summit

Agenda

Reviewing the reality of financial fair play and possible alternative frameworks for club spending

About the committee

The UEFA Summit is a crucial event in the European football calendar. Every year, key figures from across the sport gather to discuss pressing issues and chart out a course of action for a thriving future that ensures the financial health and overall well-being of European football to be resilient even through tumultuous times.

In the UEFA Summit, delegates will engage in dialogue and discussion surrounding one of the most important topics in contemporary football and an analysis of possible working models of club expenditure through the elaboration of the consequences of the Financial Fair Play (FFP). The Financial Fair Play regulations have elicited a lot of debate among clubs, stakeholders, and fan bases alike with the aim of trying to eliminate or cut down on the cases of mismanagement and foul play. This summit’s goal is to understand whether the current FFP system is effective, to consider what new types of financial structures can be implemented that will realistically correspond to the new conditions of football clubs in Europe, and to carry out a comprehensive analysis of the program. Through open discussions and collaboration, the summit seeks to identify areas for improvement within the existing FFP, ultimately ensuring a robust financial framework for a competitive and exciting European football landscape.
